STAGE INSPECTIONS FOR YOUR NEW HOME BUILD

Stage inspections provide independent third party oversight at key points during construction, helping identify defects, and quality issues before they become costly or difficult to fix. Inspections are carried out as your build progresses. We are there to support your build, keep things flowing, provide another layer of quality assurance and improve communication.

WHAT is a STAGE INSPECTION?

A stage inspection is a professional quality check completed at key points during a new home build, typically aligned with construction stages and progress payments. Each inspection focuses on the visible and accessible work completed at that stage to assess workmanship, structural integrity, compliance, and whether the build is ready to move to the next phase.

Our range of state inspections include:

  • Pre slab inspection

  • Frame inspection

  • Lock up or pre lining inspection

  • Waterproofing inspection

  • Practical completion or handover inspection

If any major issues are identified during these inspections where a re-inspection is required, we are happy to accommodate.

WHY STAGE INSPECTIONS MATTER

Building defects are easier and less expensive to address when identified early in the construction process. Stage inspections allow issues to be raised before further work continues, reducing the likelihood of defects being concealed, compounded, or becoming more difficult to rectify after handover and settlement.

Independent inspections provide owners with confidence that construction is progressing appropriately at each stage, with workmanship and compliance assessed as the build moves forward, rather than relying solely on end of build assessments when options to address issues are more limited.

Independent Assessment

Inspections are carried out independently of builders and trades, providing objective findings at each stage of the build.

Early Issue Identification

Issues are identified early before construction progresses, reducing the risk of defects being concealed or escalating later.

Our Stage Inspection Process

Stage inspections are timed to coincide with key construction milestones, not interrupt them. They provide clear, practical feedback while trades are still on site and before work is covered up. That timing matters.

When issues are identified early, fixes are straightforward and delays are avoided. Small corrections made at slab, frame or waterproofing stage prevent major rework later — the kind that actually does slow projects down. Independent stage inspections also improve communication. Builders receive clear, documented observations rather than last-minute objections or emotional conversations at handover. Everyone works from the same information, at the right time.
